WANT TO USE YOUR OWN STICK?!
SURE! I love it when people find a stick they love, and this can also be a good option for International customers to save on shipping and avoid package length restrictions. If you’d like to purchase a kit without a handle, just select “With Kit - No Stick” in the dropdown options. A kit with no stick will include one broom’s worth of materials. Some things to consider when choosing your broom handle: dried, cured or kiln dried wood is preferred to prevent damage from bugs, rot, and cracking. I like a diameter between 3/4” and 1 1/2”, but this is largely dependent on your preferences. For a full length broom, 40” is a good length. For a shorter broom such as for a porch or hearth, 25-30” is great. For any questions, just shoot me an email!
NEVER MADE A BROOM BEFORE ???
You’re going to absolutely love it!
All our workshops are approachable for all experience levels, although this one is on the slightly more advanced side. More advanced brooms always turn out better with a little more experience under your belt, so if you’re looking for a good introduction to broom making before committing to a more advanced project, check out our Simple, Woven, Stitched, or Cobwebber workshops!
